Four-Week Latin Dance Series: Salsa or Bachata

• January 6th, 13th, 20th, and 27th, 2025
• February 3rd, 10th, 17th, and 24th, 2025
• March 3rd, 10th, 17th, 24th, and 31st, 2025
• April 7th, 14th, 21st, and 28th, 2025

Dance Series Overview:

This 4-week series focuses on moves that are fundamental to building a strong foundation in your chosen dance style—Salsa or Bachata. Each week builds on the previous one, so attendance at all sessions is essential to keep up with the group and gain the full benefits of instruction.

Our structured, progressive approach ensures you’ll learn step-by-step alongside your fellow participants, fostering a supportive group learning environment.

The ultimate goals of this series are to:

1. Understand the unique rhythm and connection of Salsa or Bachata, while mastering the basics of leading or following.

2. Feel confident attending a dance social, like Latin Pulse at Enigma, where you can ask someone to dance and join the fun.

3. Transition to our Tuesday night intermediate Salsa and Bachata classes, continuing to build on the skills learned during this series.

How it works:

• Choose your dance style: Salsa or Bachata

• Choose your role: Lead or Follow

• Commit to the same style and role for all four weeks to build skills step-by-step.

Times & Styles:

• Salsa: 7:30 p.m.

• Bachata: 8:30 p.m.

Your ticket purchase grants you access to all four classes in your selected series. The cost is $60 per person for the 4-week series. Please ensure you choose the correct ticket type when registering.

Details:

• Location: Maryland Athletic Club, 655 President St., Baltimore, MD 21202

• Studio is on the second floor and features hardwood floors, floor-to-ceiling mirrors, air conditioning, and plenty of space.

• Parking: Free 2-hour parking is available at the Exeter Street Garage, 650 South Exeter St.

• No Membership Required: Participation in the dance series does not require a gym membership.

• Partner Not Required: Come solo! There will be plenty of people to dance with during class.

• Footwear:

• Dance shoes are recommended.

• If you don’t have dance shoes, bring shoes with a smooth sole.

• No suitable shoes? Socks are a great backup to help protect your knees and ankles.

About the Instructor:

Tiffany Vlard is a passionate Salsa and Bachata dance instructor with expertise in both leading and following. With over three and a half years of experience, Tiffany has learned from some of the top dance instructors and actively participates in socials, events, and workshops from New York to Virginia.

Dedicated to both her personal growth and the growth of the Baltimore dance community, Tiffany is committed to sharing her knowledge and helping dancers of all levels feel confident and connected on the dance floor. Her teaching style is inclusive, supportive, and rooted in her mission to build a vibrant dance scene in Baltimore.
